In this quilt I feature the two ritual Chiwara antelope figures. Used in initiation ceremonies for young men by the Bambara people of Mali to teach them social values as well as the fundamentals of agriculture.

This quilt was made to show in the Magnificent Motown Show at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater in 2021. All of the works were based on the music of Motown. My quilt was based on the song Superstition by Stevie Wonder. The quilt was also shown at the Kenkeleba Gallery in NYC.
